Short and heavy-bottomed, the NUDE Alba whisky bottle tapers towards the brim to preserve the spirit’s flavours and aromas. The minimal silhouette is crafted from lead-free crystal and features a hand engraved, deconstructed tartan pattern adorning the base, and a circular stopper which gently tilts in the conical neck of the carafe — an invitation to keep it pointing towards Scotland.

The NUDE Alba collection takes its name from the Gaelic word for Scotland — a tribute to the spiritual home of whisky. Designed by Joe Doucet, each piece in the Alba range is crafted from the finest lead-free crystal and features a hand-engraved tartan pattern, cleverly deconstructed and set into a heavy-bottomed base. A modern classic from the moment of its launch, the Alba whisky glass collection combines exceptional craftsmanship with a bold design identity — making it as striking on the shelf as it is in the hand.

Joe Doucet

Joe Doucet graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 1999 with a degree in Communication Design, before expanding his practice across product design, furniture, packaging, and technology. His multidisciplinary approach brings rigorous craft and innovation to every discipline he works in — including his collaboration with NUDE on a collection of premium glassware that redefines the relationship between form and function. Doucet's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the London Design Museum and the Biennale International Design in Saint-Étienne. His accolades include a 2016 Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award Nomination in Product Design, a 2010 World Technology Award for Design, and Good Design Awards in 2012 and 2008. He currently holds more than 50 patents for his designs and inventions.
