Tamer Nakışçı

Tamer Nakışçı is an Istanbul and London-based interdisciplinary designer whose work is driven by a belief that designed objects should remain open to interpretation, inviting each user to engage with them in their own way. His passion for making was ignited in his father's carpentry workshop, long before he studied industrial design at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul. During his studies he was invited to join the prestigious Fiat Advanced Design Concept Lab in Milan, where he discovered the centrality of emotion and narrative in design. His work has since been exhibited at London's Royal Academy, the Salone del Mobile in Milan - in an exhibition curated by Wallpaper\ - and Istanbul's Design Biennale. Dwell magazine has recognised him as a rising star of international design.
