Umut Karaman

After graduating in Graphic Design from Hacettepe University’s Fine Arts Department in 1999, Ankara-based illustrator Umut Karaman created visuals for the software industry. Soon, however, under the name Yumidoko, her client list would include fashion industry icons like Vogue, Mavi Jeans, Les Benjamins and Ayşe Kulin. Karaman’s work blends classic and pop, sophisticated and simple, calm and joyful in
diverse media: children’s book illustration, interior decoration and home textile design. She even turns her illustrations into clay sculpture.
